Description:

Blooming Prosperity draws its inspiration from two celebrated symbols of traditional Chinese culture: the Suichao Qinggong tradition and the famous Haiyan Heqing Zun imperial vase from the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.

In Chinese culture, Suichao Qinggong refers to the custom of presenting flowers, fruits, and treasured objects at the beginning of a new year as an expression of blessings, prosperity, and good fortune. For centuries, these arrangements have symbolized people's hopes for happiness, abundance, and a peaceful future.

The floral vessel depicted in this artwork is inspired by the renowned Turquoise-Ground Gilt Decorated Haiyan Heqing Zun, one of the celebrated artworks associated with the Qianlong Emperor's grand birthday tribute collection. Traditionally, the phrase "Haiyan Heqing" symbolizes a flourishing nation, social harmony, and an era of peace and prosperity.

The bouquet features peonies, roses, lilies, orchids, and seasonal blossoms gathered in full bloom. On the table below appear lilies, persimmons, and traditional decorative objects, while butterflies gracefully accompany the arrangement. Together, these elements create a visual language of enduring prosperity, family happiness, good fortune, and lasting success.

Produced using traditional Nanjing Yunjin silk embroidery techniques, the artwork combines vibrant colors, intricate decorative patterns, and luxurious silk textures. Originating more than 1,600 years ago, Nanjing Yunjin is regarded as one of China's most prestigious textile arts and was historically reserved for imperial robes, palace furnishings, and ceremonial occasions.

Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage tradition, Yunjin continues to represent the highest achievements of Chinese silk craftsmanship. The shimmering silk threads reveal subtle variations of color and texture as light changes throughout the day, creating a richness that cannot be fully captured in photographs.

Suitable for living rooms, dining spaces, entryways, and studies, this artwork brings a sense of celebration, elegance, and timeless Eastern beauty into contemporary interiors.
