Hidden Valley of Blue Peaks depicts a secluded mountain settlement nestled among layered blue-green ridges, inspired by the classical Chinese qinglü shanshui tradition. Winding paths, flowing streams, and clusters of traditional houses emerge gently from the landscape, creating a scene that feels both peaceful and timeless.
Through meticulous brushwork and luminous mineral-inspired colors, Yang Kequn revives the elegance of historical Chinese landscape painting while presenting a vision that remains fresh and inviting to contemporary viewers. The rich blue and turquoise mountains contrast beautifully with the warm golden sky, bringing depth, rhythm, and visual harmony to the composition.
Rather than focusing on dramatic scenery, the artist celebrates the quiet relationship between people and nature. Hidden within the valleys, daily life unfolds at a slower pace, surrounded by mountains that suggest stability, protection, and continuity.
Refined in scale yet rich in detail, this original artwork is particularly suitable for entryways, studies, reading corners, and interiors seeking a sophisticated balance of color, culture, and tranquility.
