Song Xiping is a contemporary artist working within the expanded language of ink and traditional painting materials.
Her practice focuses on the relationship between material behavior, spatial structure, and visual order, approaching painting as a system rather than a narrative device.

Working primarily on Xuan paper, Song consciously incorporates the natural diffusion and absorbency of the material into her compositions.
Through horizontal spatial arrangements, layered color fields, and repetitive gestures, her works occupy a subtle territory between abstraction and landscape, shaped by rhythm, accumulation, and restraint.

Song Xiping is a member of the China Artists Association and holds the title of National First-Class Artist (China).
